In the meantime, there is a multitude of initiatives, groups and venues that deal with awareness in the context of events and beyond. Who has which educational offers? Which location-independent awareness teams exist and how do I reach them? Where are there self-advocacy organisations? Who else is involved in making events safer?
On this map, everyone can add their own name by creating a microsite, or add their name to our curated list by completing a questionnaire.

Awareness collectives and campaigns
As Awer e.V., we offer a wide range of support in the awareness context. This includes organizing and providing awareness teams for events, supporting other groups in developing their own awareness concepts and setting up structures, as well as educational work in the form of awareness workshops. As an association, we advocate a sensitive and critical approach to power imbalances, hierarchies and discrimination. It is important to us to critically question our own privileges and positioning, as well as our work, and to continuously develop it further. We also advocate the appreciation and payment of care work such as awareness. We base our work on intersectional perspectives and generated knowledge about transformative justice and community accountability, which was originally developed by queer Black communities in the USA. The association has different levels of experience in the awareness context. Some people have been active in practical, conceptual or educational awareness for several years.
