The project

In the past few years, many initiatives and groups have been founded that advocate for a discrimination- and violence-sensitive event life. With our project "support f(x) - interface for awareness, antidiscrimination and violence prevention" we use our experience from more than 10 years of practical awareness work to support and network all those who deal with awareness nationwide. Support f(x) is a project of the Initiative Awareness e.V., which was launched in cooperation with Rave Awareness and Ann Wiesental within the framework of the federal program "Demokratie leben! 2021 was launched.

The main location of the Initiative Awareness e.V. is Leipzig. Most of the employees of the projects Support f(x) and Support f(x) Saxony work here. The work on the project is structured in a division of labor. Besides the team "project coordination" there are people working on "public relations", "education", "administration" and "management and structure". The "Project Coordination" team is responsible for coordinating, planning and implementing the planned measures, i.e. the sub-goals of the project. This includes various event formats, from information booths to roundtables and specialist conferences, but also content-related work such as concept development, reporting and work in various networks.
